The location is rich in a variety of flora and is inhabited by many wild animals. It is one of the few spots where one can see tourists sitting to relax and take in the view of the waterfall at its mightiest. Located approximately 60 km away from Munnar town, the fall offers the best view during the monsoons. Located within Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Thoovanam Waterfall offers much in terms of flora and fauna.
